1

The Frog at the Bottom of the Well

La rana en el fondo del pozo

2

Long ago, a frog lived in a well.

3

It looked up and saw that the sky was only as large as the mouth of the well. It thought, “This is the whole world.”

4

One day, a large sea turtle came to the well.

5

The frog said, “Come down and have a look. It is the most fun here.”

La rana dijo: «Baja a mirar. Aquí es donde mejor se pasa».

6

The turtle said, “The sea stretches farther than the eye can see. It is much larger than your well.” After hearing this, the frog could not say a word.

7

With too little experience, it is easy to think the world is small.
