Waiting by the Stump

Esperar junto al tocón

2

Once there was a farmer who grew crops. He worked in the field every day.

3

One day, a rabbit ran very fast. It hit a stump by the field.

Un día, un conejo corrió muy rápido. Chocó contra un tocón junto al campo.

4

The rabbit died, and the farmer took it home. That night, he ate a good meal.

5

From that day on, he stopped farming. He sat by the stump and waited every day.

6

But the rabbit never came again. The field filled with weeds, and there was no harvest.

7

By luck alone, you will not get a second rabbit.

8

Waiting only for good luck is waiting by the stump. What are you waiting for right now?
