Fog · La niebla
1The Red Umbrella Girl asks: where does fog come from?
2In the morning, everything outside is a white blur. The faraway hills are gone, and so is the village.
3The Red Umbrella Girl walks into the fog, and she cannot even see the little bridge ahead.
4What is fog? Fog is a cloud that has come down to the ground.
5At night the ground grows cold. The water vapour in the air turns into tiny droplets that float in mid-air.
6Because there are so many droplets, they block the light, so we cannot see far.
7She reaches out but catches nothing. But her hair and eyelashes are damp.
8The sun comes out and dries the droplets bit by bit. The fog slowly lifts.
9The hills come back, the village comes back, and the little bridge comes back too.
10When fog comes, the world turns very quiet. Have you ever walked in fog?
