Driver: Hello — what are the last digits of your phone number? Me: My phone number ends in 8826.

Driver: To Beijing South Station, right? Me: That's right. About how long will it take? Driver: If there's no traffic, twenty minutes.

Good to know: in China, drivers, mechanics and cooks can all be called "shīfu". When someone praises you, you can say "nǎli nǎli" — a polite way of saying "oh, not really".

Dato útil: en China, a los choferes, mecánicos y cocineros se les puede llamar "shīfu". Cuando alguien te elogia, puedes decir "nǎli nǎli": es una forma cortés de decir "no es para tanto".
