Doctor: Have a seat. What's the trouble? Me: Doctor, I have a fever, a headache, and a sore throat.

Médico: Siéntese. ¿Qué le pasa? Yo: Doctor, tengo fiebre, dolor de cabeza y me duele la garganta.

Doctor: How many days have you had a fever? Me: Since last night. This morning it was 38.6.

Médico: ¿Cuántos días lleva con fiebre? Yo: Desde anoche. Esta mañana tenía 38.6.

Doctor: Are you coughing? Me: A little. Doctor: Open your mouth and say "ahh".

Médico: ¿Tiene tos? Yo: Un poco. Médico: Abra la boca y diga «aaa».

Doctor: Your throat is very red. Let me listen — take a deep breath. Me: OK — deep breath.

Doctor: Are you allergic to any medicine? Me: I'm allergic to penicillin. Doctor: All right, I've made a note of it.

Doctor: It might be tonsillitis. Go get a blood test first. Me: A blood test? Where do I get a blood test? Doctor: At the lab on the first floor.

Wáng Lì: What did the doctor say? Me: The doctor says it might be tonsillitis, and I need a blood test first. Wáng Lì: Come on, I'll go with you.

Good to know: in China, the doctor often sends you for a blood test first, and you come back with the results. You can call a doctor "yīshēng" or "dàifu".

Dato útil: en China, el médico a menudo te manda primero a hacerte un análisis de sangre y luego regresas con los resultados. Al médico se le puede llamar "yīshēng" o "dàifu".
