Mom, our class is having a fall party! The teacher needs parent volunteers. A volunteer? My English isn't good enough… It's okay, Mom! You just come and help.

Good to know: volunteering at school is a great way to get to know the teacher and other parents. Your English doesn't have to be perfect — you can bring food, help clean up, or run a game table. Some schools ask regular volunteers to fill out a form first. Your culture is a gift, too — a game, a song, or a dish from home is something kids will love.
