One Word, Then the Wall

Una sola palabra, y luego la pared

我们班有个同学，叫小满。

There is a girl in our class named Xiaoman.

En nuestra clase hay una niña que se llama Xiaoman.

她不爱说话，上课也不举手。

She does not like to talk, and she never raises her hand in class.

No le gusta hablar y nunca levanta la mano en clase.

她有一个小本子，天天画，谁也不给看。

She has a little notebook. She draws in it every day and shows it to no one.

Tiene un cuaderno pequeño. Dibuja en él todos los días y no se lo muestra a nadie.

有人问她画什么。

Someone asks her what she is drawing.

Alguien le pregunta qué dibuja.

她把本子合上，说：没什么。

She closes the notebook and says, "Nothing."

Ella cierra el cuaderno y dice: "Nada."

一年，两年，三年。

One year. Two years. Three years.

Un año. Dos años. Tres años.

小本子换了一本又一本。

One little notebook after another is filled.

Un cuaderno pequeño tras otro se va llenando.

学校要把后墙刷白。

The school is going to paint the back wall white.

La escuela va a pintar de blanco la pared de atrás.

老师问：谁来画？

The teacher asks, "Who wants to paint it?"

La maestra pregunta: "¿Quién quiere pintarla?"

没有人举手。

Nobody raises a hand.

Nadie levanta la mano.

小满站起来了。

Xiaoman stands up.

Xiaoman se pone de pie.

她只说了一个字：我。

She says only one word: "Me."

Ella dice una sola palabra: "Yo."

她画了一个月。

She paints for a month.

Pinta durante un mes.

谁也不知道她在画什么。

Nobody knows what she is painting.
