It's only enough for one month. I'm supposed to support this family, and right now I can't earn a cent.

每天早上我都看手机。一个电话都没有。

Every morning I check my phone. Not one call.

Cada mañana reviso el teléfono. Ni una llamada.

我们出去走走吧。老坐在家里，心情会更不好。

Let's go for a walk. Sitting at home all day only makes it worse.

Vamos a caminar. Quedarse en casa todo el día lo empeora.

Wei，你今天晚上好安静。

Wei, you're very quiet tonight.

因为下雨，工地停工了。已经三个星期没有工作了。

The job site shut down because of the rain. I haven't worked in three weeks.

我奶奶常说：No hay mal que dure cien años —— 没有一件坏事会持续一百年。

My grandmother used to say: No hay mal que dure cien años — no bad thing lasts a hundred years.

Mi abuela decía: «No hay mal que dure cien años».

一百年？那也太长了吧！

A hundred years? That's an awfully long time!

¿Cien años? ¡Eso es muchísimo tiempo!

英语说：“这一切都会过去的。”难过的日子就像雨一样，不会一直下。

In English we say: "This too shall pass." Hard times are like the rain — they don't last forever.

En inglés decimos: «Esto también pasará». Los tiempos difíciles son como la lluvia: no duran para siempre.

中文说：“没有过不去的坎。”再高的坎，也能走过去。

In Chinese we say: 没有过不去的坎 — there's no hill too high to get over.

En chino decimos: 没有过不去的坎, no hay cuesta tan alta que no se pueda subir.

我儿子的饭馆周末缺人帮忙。你想去试试吗？

三种语言，意思差不多：中文说“没有过不去的坎”；英文说“这一切都会过去的”；西班牙文说“没有一件坏事会持续一百年”。

Three languages, almost the same meaning: Chinese says "没有过不去的坎" — there's no hill you can't get over. English says "This too shall pass." Spanish says "No hay mal que dure cien años" — no bad thing lasts a hundred years.

Tres idiomas, casi lo mismo: el chino dice «没有过不去的坎», no hay cuesta que no se pueda subir. El inglés dice «This too shall pass», esto también pasará. El español dice «No hay mal que dure cien años».

难的时候，告诉信任的人，朋友常常知道哪里有工作。在加州，没有工作或者工时减少，可以问问能不能申请失业保险。

In hard times, tell people you trust — friends often know about work. In California, if you lose your job or your hours are cut, ask whether you can apply for unemployment insurance.

En tiempos difíciles, cuénteles a personas de confianza; los amigos muchas veces saben de trabajo. En California, si se queda sin trabajo o le recortan horas, pregunte si puede solicitar el seguro de desempleo.
