早上，太阳刚出来。

In the morning the sun has just come up.

Por la mañana el sol acaba de salir.

红伞女孩的影子长长的，比她高好多。

The Red Umbrella Girl's shadow is long — much taller than she is.

La sombra de la Niña del Paraguas Rojo es larga, mucho más alta que ella.

她走，影子也走；她跳，影子也跳。

She walks, her shadow walks; she jumps, her shadow jumps.

Ella camina y su sombra camina; ella salta y su sombra salta.

影子一直跟着她，甩也甩不掉。

Her shadow follows her everywhere; she cannot shake it off.

La sombra la sigue a todas partes; no se la puede quitar.

为什么会有影子呢？

Why are there shadows?

因为光是直直地走的，被她挡住了。

Because light travels in straight lines, and she blocks it.

Porque la luz viaja en línea recta y ella la tapa.

光照不到的那一块地方，就是影子。

The patch the light cannot reach — that is a shadow.

El lugar adonde la luz no llega, eso es la sombra.

太阳在这边，影子就在那边。

When the sun is on this side, the shadow is on that side.

In the afternoon the sun moves toward the west,

In the evening a lamp is lit indoors.
